Family Name: The surname 邸 (Dǐ) originates from ancient China and has two main branches. One branch traces back to the Zhou Dynasty (1046–256 BCE) when the Zhou King granted land called 邸 to his brother, whose descendants adopted the surname 邸. The other branch comes from the Spring and Autumn Period (770–476 BCE) when a minister of the Qi State named 邸夷子 had descendants who took the surname 邸.
