Family Name: The surname 费 (Fèi) has two main origins. One traces back to the Spring and Autumn period, where descendants of the minister Fei Xufu in the state of Lu adopted their ancestral name. The other origin is from the Xia Dynasty, where descendants of Yu the Great were granted the fiefdom of Fei by King Wu of Zhou, and their descendants took the name of the fiefdom as their surname.
